Agendas and past meeting minutes.

In order to stimulate retention of business and growth, businesses can get tax credits and deductions just by being located in the Enterprise Zone.

In most cases, by doing nothing differently about the way you run your business, you may already be earning business income tax credits. Just ONE qualifying employee may earn a state tax credit of up to $35,000.

Enterprise Zones are Ending . . . Now What?

The Enterprise Zone program ended December 31, 2013. However, any eligible business activity in the zone prior to the end can still be claimed as a tax credit by the end of 2014, including your hiring of employees. In order to allow you to certify (voucher) your employees, the IVEZ will have County of Imperial staff available to process your applications prior to the end of the year. See the contact us page to find out who can help you claim your credits!

Please note effective for all employees hired after July 8, 2013 a new TEA for both the IVEZ and the Calexico-Imperial County EZ took effect with a smaller eligible area.

Where is the Enterprise Zone?

The Imperial Valley Enterprise Zone (IVEZ) is located within parts of the City of Brawley and portions of the unincorporated area of Imperial County. Go to Maps to get an overview and Street Listings to see the address ranges.
